Terms and Conditions
1. Ordering.
Placing an order with us is quite simple. When you have decided to place an order you select on the top of this homepage your gender and you will immediately be supported by our design tool. This tool will help you in selecting the preferred fabrics, to insert your measurements, to choose your tailoring options like jacket style,number and design of pockets, number and type of buttons,cutaways, length and style of sleeves, type of lining etc. At the end of the design process when you want to submit an order you are requested to register yourself as a customer. Finally you need to click the order button as the last step of the ordering process.
The order is accepted automatically by way of a confirmation e-mail (“order acknowledgement”). The text of the order is included in the acknowledgement mail and is also filed in the system of My Online Tailor. In the unlikely event that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this.You will receive an e-mail with the correct price and the question whether you agree with the new price or like to receive a refund.
If for larger orders direct transfer has been agreed, we are authorized to request you to pay by a bank transfer within seven working days. If this due date is not met, the order will be automatically deleted from our system. You will be informed of this by an e-mail.
2. Product prices.
The prices of all our products are inclusive for EU, USA en AU. This means that shipping fees, and european taxes are included. For the US only specific state taxes (if applicable) are not inclusive. (other countries can be different) Tarrifs/duties we try to avoid however we cannot ensure this.
3. Validity of your order.
Every order you submit is valid until further notice between you as a customer (provided you are over 18 years of age) and My Online Tailor. For other type of agreements please contact us before you confirm your order.
4. Payment.
Payment of your order can be done through three different options
a. Via Credit Card (VISA,Mastercard, Maestro)
b. Via Paypal
c. Via Direct transfer to our account ( if agreed : larger orders > $ 1.500), The order will be processed as the amount has been fully paid and is received in our account
5. Security.
My Online Tailor does not use any cookies which would allow any third party to make use of your account or trace your personal web surfing behaviour and habits. Cookies are needed only to identify the products in your basket. Third-party cookies are used only to develop statistics on the use of our web pages. They do not carry any personal information. All transactions with banks are encrypted. For more information we refer to our privacy statement
6. Delivery and shipping.
All our products will be delivered at your doorstep. Hand made shirts and blouses are normally shipped within 3-4 weeks by SingPost or Thaipost. Suits, trousers and jackets are shipped within 4-5 weeks by DHL. The delivery time can not be guaranteed. Our customer service team will email you the tracking number of your shipment. If we are not capable of shipping your products within 2 months after your order was placed, you are allowed to cancel your order and receive reimbursement for all your cost.
7. Allowances.
Shirts, blouses, trousers, jackets and suits made by My Online Tailor are always tailored in accordance with the measurements specified by you. If you have selected body measurements, your shirts, blouses and suits are matched to the fit chosen by you (close-fitting at the waist, fitting at the waist, normal, loose-fitting). We do not guarantee that the pieces ordered by you from the standard sizes of our tables will offer a perfect fit. For this reason we recommend that you use personal measurements, both body measurements and measurements taken from an existing piece. The responsibility for correct personal measurements lies always with you as a customer.
8. Customer service.
You can reach our English customer service from 10 am – 5 pm EST time Monday-Friday.
9. Customer account credit.
No credit on your account will be paid out in cash or transferred to any third party. A refund wiil only be made to the account from which we received your payment.
10. Privacy policy.
The customer consents to having any personal data included in the purchase contract for the performance of this order computer-filed and processed by us. The customer undertakes to notify us of any change in his/her business or residential address for as long as the contractual transaction has not been fully performed by both sides. If such notification is not made, any statements given are deemed to be received when they are sent to the address last notified. Any data on personal features of our customers are used solely to manage our customer relations; no personal data or e-mail addresses are passed on to any third party. 11. Force majeure.
In case of force majeure, the contract may be deemed to be cancelled without any claim for compensation for My Online Tailor or the customer or, alternatively, the delivery period may be extended to reflect the type of force majeure. For My Online Tailor cases of force majeure are: Acts of God,war, terrorist action, obstruction of transport, restricting trade policies, strike.
12. Applicable law.
All our contracted orders shall be governed by Dutch law. Applicability of the UN Sales Convention shall be explicitly excluded. The contractual language shall be English The contracting parties agree to Dutch jurisdiction.
13. Cancellation
The right of cancellation for ready made products can be excersized within 1 week from the ordering date. Orders for Individually composed products (such as, for instance, custom-made shirts, custom-made blouses and custom-made suits ) will be notified as provisional for the first 24 hours. During this period you can either make some adjustments or cancel the order. After 24 hours the order is excluded from the right of cancellation, in line with Dutch and international law!
14. Guarantee
If the first ordered product is not a perfect fit: You will receive a credit for a maximum amount of $ 30 to use at a local tailor. You need only see a tailor in your neighbourhood, have her/him double-check your body measurements and let him alter the garment, after that provide us with the new measurements and the charge (invoice) of your local tailor and you will receive the credit within 2 weeks (read our full satisfaction guarante to see the conditions).For all orders: if a garment does not fit due to mistakes made by My Online Tailor we will provide a full remake of the garment.
P.S. You are responsible for the risk of loss or damage when you return goods, so please include enough postal insurance to cover their value.
